We're looking for a Carbon Advisor to join our project team based in London and the surrounding areas.

What will you be responsible for?
We're looking to recruit for a Carbon Advisor to support the Regional Carbon Lead in delivering the Construction Carbon Strategy. By providing supporting the Regional Carbon Leads initiatives with data collection, one to one support for project teams and highlighting outstanding actions that impede the success of an initiative.
You will help support our drive to net zero this role must focus on supporting all key internal functions improve their understanding and drive to reduce carbon and external with a focus on key subcontractors and clients. This role will go into the detail at project level to help uncover and capture any underlying problems that is preventing initiatives from unlocking their full carbon reduction potential. Provide specialist support and advice at tender in terms of performance data, but with more of a focus in pre-construction through to construction and aftercare while ensuring sustainability and innovation is embedded into these phases and align with Group's Sustainability Framework.
Your day to day will include:
- Support the project operational teams with finding, implementing and reporting low carbon initiatives relating to scope 1, 2 and 3. From engaging with our supply chain to supporting the roll out.
- Building relationships with the pre-construction and operational teams and attending key operational meetings to help drive down carbon at key decision stages.
- Creating case studies that capture enough information for other sites to replicate and if successful be used as evidence to mandate.
- Supporting the internal drive to enable more engagement in carbon performance and targets within the region.
- Build relationships with key subcontractors and provide training on a number of topics from client targets, progress and initiatives on trial.
- Support operational teams with monitoring and reporting carbon emissions at RIBA stage 5.
- Support pre-construction teams and aftercare teams with implementation of Kier 360 Carbon Solution stages to ensure client carbon targets are met.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- Basic understanding of industry-specific processes, materials, and best practices (optional based on industry).
