We're looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Natural Resources Team, for our Bournemouth Water Alderney Water Treatment works contract. Working from home but visiting our site in Bournemouth.
Location: Working from home and site at Alderney , Dorset
Contract: Permanent, Full Time – flexible and part time hours may be available if desired, just let us know
Responsibilities
We're looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our NRNN business unit Water business unit looking after a large project at Alderney water treatment works. The successful candidate will provide commercial support to the project teams, maintaining commercial information and ensure compliance with contractual requirements. The project will deliver a variety of upgrade and resilience works to the Alderney site, improving the quality and supply resilience of the southern region's drinking water.
Your day to day will include:
- Provide commercial input including financial and contractual performance forecasts to the management team.
- Preparation of monthly cost / value reports for area, together with review of results and consideration of trends with other contract team members
- Production of commercial reports together with review of results and consideration of trends with other contract team members
- Agreement of certification and payment of subcontractor accounts - monitoring of such accounts against forecasts
- Assessing, reviewing and mitigating commercial and contractual risks and implement Kier Group's policies for risk management.
What are we looking for?
This Senior Quantity Surveyor is great for you if you have:
- A relevant Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying.
- Proven experience in a senior commercial capacity managing teams of significant size. Preferably in the Water sector and or within regulated utilities.
- Knowledge and experience of NEC forms of contract as well as current Construction Law.
- Experience in commercial management and procurement of subcontractors, including chairing regular meetings, measurement and control cycle, certificates, and accruals calculations.
- Experience in procurement and working alongside procurement team to implement programme and project procurement strategy goals.
