Network Engineer

Our client, is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to provide BAU network support in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This is an exciting opportunity to work with Cisco networking equipment, ensuring the stability and efficiency of the organisation’s IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide BAU support for the company’s network infrastructure, ensuring smooth operation and minimal downtime.

• Maintain and troubleshoot Cisco switches, routers and firewalls to optimise network performance.

• Monitor network health, conduct diagnostics, and implement necessary changes to improve reliability and security.

• Collaborate with internal teams and third-party vendors to resolve network issues and implement improvements.

• Assist in network configuration, upgrades and patch management.

• Maintain documentation of network infrastructure, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.

Key Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience in a Network Engineer role, providing BAU support.

• Strong knowledge of Cisco networking equipment, including switches, routers and firewalls.

• Experience with network monitoring tools and troubleshooting methodologies.

• Understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, BGP, OSPF and other networking protocols.

• Cisco certifications (such as CCNA/CCNP) are highly desirable.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
