Engineering Office Administrator - Part time role

Hook area

£21K per annum + benefit package

An Engineering Administrator required in Hook to work in a busy and global company based in Hook to work 30 hours per week, only!!

You will support the Engineering team in managing day-to-day administrative tasks according to established Engineering processes and procedures. The primary focus will be ensuring all relevant technical information is updated and shared across various business units via the agreed document systems, maintaining accuracy, consistency, and transparency. If you have the above experience this job is for you!

Normal work hours: Monday to Thursday 7h30am-4.30pm and Early finish on Fridays at 3pm! But because this is a part time role, they are flexible to negotiate.

Responsibilities

  • Generate and maintain all required Sage 200/ERP documentation for products developed by the Engineering team.
  • Manage and update the Engineering work schedule. Collaborate with engineers under the direction of the Product Manager to log progress and measure team performance. Regularly report progress to the Product Manager and Director of Engineering.
  • Log and track the Engineering team's involvement in the Change Control process. Ensure timely updates are made to the engineering works schedule.
  • Generate and maintain TDFs as needed for products under development.
  • Oversee the drawing issue and sign-off process, collaborating with the Operations team to ensure timely handover of relevant documentation for manufacturing and production.
  • Liaise with Planning and Procurement teams to notify and agree on the release of technical documentation for manufacturing and production processes.
  • Ensure all Engineering procedural documentation is up to date and compliant with company standards.
  • Assist with general administrative duties within the Engineering department as directed by the Product Manager or Director of Engineering.
  • Ensure the provision of necessary equipment, software licenses, and stationery for all team members to facilitate smooth operations.

Key Requirements

  • Previous similar experience in administration within Manufacturing environment is mandatory.
  • Experience with Sage 200/ERP manufacturing systems is desirable but not essential.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly present information and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong keyboard skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • Conscientious, well-organized, and adaptable to changes in processes and priorities.
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
  • High attention to detail with a strong focus on maintaining accuracy in all tasks.
  • Able to work with minimum supervision, demonstrating initiative and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
