Southend on sea - Locum Educational Psychologist

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Locum Educational Psychologist to join Southend-on-Sea's Educational Psychology Service on a temporary basis. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact, working with children, young people, and families to promote positive educational outcomes and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct psychological assessments of children and young people to identify learning, emotional, and behavioral needs.
Provide expert advice and recommendations to schools, families, and professionals to support inclusive education.
Contribute to Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP) assessments and statutory work.
Deliver intervention strategies to support children with special educational needs (SEN) and additional needs.
Work collaboratively with schools, local authorities, and multi-agency teams to promote best practices in education and mental health.
Support training and development initiatives for school staff, parents, and carers.

Requirements:
HCPC-registered Educational Psychologist.
Proven experience in educational psychology assessments and interventions.
Strong knowledge of SEND legislation, EHCP processes, and inclusive education strategies.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work flexibly and independently while maintaining high professional standards.

Rate: £600 per day
Contract: Locum
