GIS Officer

The role:
- Architect, implement, and maintain a robust Geographic Information System (GIS) aligned with statutory, ICT, and data management standards, including adherence to Government regulations and the Data Protection Act.
- Act as the authoritative figure for GIS data governance within the organisation, managing all aspects of internal and external GIS-related system integrations.
- Lead in the delivery of complex GIS projects, developing innovative solutions, and providing technical expertise to support the organisations spatial data infrastructure and decision-making processes.
Key Skills and Experience
- Expert in ESRI technologies such as ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Pro and a good working knowledge of integrating GIS into core business systems such as planning.
- Experience of installing, configuring, maintaining and supporting ESRI GIS from a 3rd level perspective including mobile solutions
- Knowledge of ArcGIS server technology
- Knowledge of QGIS
- Experience using data management tools such as FME Desktop/Server.
- Experience in the management of complex databases.
