Job Description

Leicester City Council is seeking an experienced Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join the Adult Mental Health Team. This role involves working with adults experiencing mental health challenges, conducting assessments, and delivering care and support in line with the Care Act 2014.

Key Responsibilities:
Undertake statutory assessments, casework, and care planning under the Care Act 2014.
Work closely with health professionals, voluntary services, and families to provide holistic support.
Support individuals in managing risks and promoting independence.
Conduct Mental Capacity Act assessments and safeguarding investigations where required.
Maintain accurate case records and ensure compliance with legislation and council policies.

Requirements:
Degree in Social Work (or equivalent) and SWE registration.
Experience working in a Mental Health Team with adults.
Strong understanding of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act, and safeguarding procedures.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
