BANES - Educational Psychologist

Job Description

We are looking for a qualified Educational Psychologist to join the team in Bath and North East Somerset. The role involves carrying out statutory Education Health Needs Assessments, with each assessment and report taking approximately two days to complete.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality psychological assessments, advice, and support for children and young people.
Work with schools, parents, local authorities, and health services to support children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Deliver effective consultation, assessment, advice, and interventions for children with additional needs.
Provide in-service training for teachers and other professionals to improve understanding of children's needs.
Participate in multi-agency working, linking with local, regional, and national bodies.
Contribute to service development, evaluation, and professional training.

Requirements:
Honours Degree in Psychology (BPS accredited)
Postgraduate qualification in Educational Psychology
At least two years of experience in teaching or working with children/young people
Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
