We're looking for an Electrical Project Engineer to join our Natural Resources, Nuclear & Networks team, to work on our Thames Water site in Harpenden.
Location: Harpenden, Hertfordshire
Contract: Permanent, full time- some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us
Kier is a strategic partner to Thames Water for AMP7 and AMP8 on capital frameworks across the Thames Water supply and treatment regions. We deliver design & build services for new and existing infrastructure assets (below ground) and non-infrastructure assets (above ground).
What will you be responsible for?
As an Electrical Engineer, you'll be working within the Thames Water team on the Harpenden project, supporting them in ensuring the project is delivered in line with Kier's and Thames Water's KPIs.
Your day to day will include:
- Engage with the supply chain partners on matters of Health, Safety and wellbeing
- Input to, manage and update construction programmes ensuring key milestones are met
- Prepare and issue invitations to tender with the QS, collate responses and prepare a cost-benefit analysis with recommendations for award
- Accountability for the design integration of the Electrical MEICA package plant against Thames Water Asset standards and WIMES
- Production and ownership of the project procurement schedule, ensuring the QS and Planner buy into this
What are we looking for?
This role of Electrical Engineer is great for you if you hold:
- Experience within the water industry
- BEng/ ONC/ HNC/ BTEC qualified Electrical engineer
- CSCS card, SSSTS and Confined Spaces
- Experience reviewing RAMS and understanding the risks associated with process plant installations and commercial awareness
- Full driving licence.
