About your role:
As Digital Insights Manager, you are accountable for insights across the eCommerce function, within the Pets group.
Playing a key role in guiding business priorities using insights and utilising the rich data available, you will be required to take a broad view of the eCommerce business, including onsite analytics, operational KPI’s, paid media performance, consumer behaviour and subscriptions.
Reporting into the Director of eCommerce, you have two direct reports, and will be active in key business interactions, with a high level of influence underlying your data-driven approach.
About your responsibilities:
In this role, to achieve the overall above purpose, you core focus areas will require you to;
- Be active in weekly, monthly and quarterly meetings, as well as business planning forums, bringing insights to help guide priorities and decision making.
- Work cross-functionally and a high level of inter-personal skills.
- Provide insights on the profile of consumers, consumers KPI’s, and trends.
- Have a deep understanding of frequency, ACV and omni-channel behaviour, and bring this to life linking back to business activity.
- Work closely with the subscriptions team, identifying opportunities to increase acquisition and reduce churn.
- Be a key stakeholder within the personalised journeys, using data helping drive more relevant and value add experiences.
- Oversee the reporting of channel performance and budget effectiveness.
- Key stakeholder in budget decision making.
- Oversee new business cases.
- Supports test and learn roadmap with relevant analytics and insights.
- Ownership over the 3rd party marketing tagging and tracking.
- Oversight of all on-site analytics, analytics tools, impact analysis of feature releases and cross sell initiatives.
- Work with Digital Product to prioritise and analyse the success of new features.
- Work closely with digital operations, to help deep dive into key topics or issues.
- Be accountable for weekly, periodic and seasonal reporting for ecommerce function.
- Brief reporting requirement into data visualization to ensure dashboarding meets business requirements.
- Own the business cases analysis looking across various metrics, such as media effectiveness, onsite performance, and other income/expenses.
- Take the lead on all thing’s analytics and insights within the ecommerce team.
- Be a self-starter, working cross functionally to help improve data driven decision making.
- Manage two colleagues, managing their workload and developing their analytics and insights skillset.
- Act as manager within the wider ecommerce team, helping drive the team objectives forward.
- Act as a ‘right hand person’ to the eCommerce Director, using insights to drive priorities.
About You - knowledge, skills, and experience:
You’ll be a seasoned expert within Digital Analytics, eCommerce or Digital Marketing, adept at positioning data and insights to influence direction of travel, using compelling narrative that’s understood by all audiences.
Ideally, you will be or bring to the role;
- Experience working in medium/large online business; experience in pet supplies is not required.
- Skills using key Microsoft tools (Excel, PowerPoint) and insights tools such as Google Analytics and Power BI.
- A curious and dynamic mindset; adept at finding solutions and driving key initiatives forward in a matrix style organisation.
- Experience partnering with key stakeholders and holding good relationships.
- A team player that seeks new opportunities and questions the status quo.
