Remote (CIC/LAC) Social Worker Role - Durham County Council!

Durham County Council is looking for a full-time Social Worker to support children placed outside the North East. This is a remote role with regular travel.

Key Details:

• Caseload - Capped at 11 children in Manchester, Yorkshire, Lancashire, Liverpool, Lincolnshire, and Birmingham
• Remote Work - Primarily home-based, with face-to-face visits every 4-6 weeks
• Travel - With 11 cases across multiple locations, you will likely be on the road 1-2 times per week.
• Meetings - Once a month in Durham (currently virtual, office moving from Pity Me to Seaham in April 2025 - both sites have ample parking)
• Hourly Rate - £32.31 per hour (NE Rate)
• Team - Children in Care - includes C&F assessments, PEPs, care team meetings, and CiC review meetings
• Working Hours - Full-time, 37 hours per week

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Social Worker looking for a flexible role with manageable travel!

Essential Requirements:

* Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
* At least 2 years experience as a social worker within childrens services
* Social Work England Registration
* Driving license and access to own vehicle
