Job Description
We are recruiting for an Attendance Officer & Administrator for our City Centre education Client. The responsibilities will comprise the majority of the role, and will relate predominantly to Sixth Form students but also Y7-11 students whenever needed throughout the day:
Hourly rate: £12.82
Hours of Work: 08.00-16.00
Days of Work: Monday to Friday
Location: City Centre
Attendance Specific Responsibilities:
Ensure that the lesson-by-lesson attendance of students (most likely Sixth
Form students) is accurate and that all unexplained absences are followed up promptly:
Listening, clearing and recording absences reported on the voicemail on a daily basis.
Safeguard students by ensuring that the unexplained absence of vulnerable students is investigated promptly by the pastoral team:
Monitor the attendance inbox to ensure all known absences are recorded:
Ensure that registers are taken from any lessons affected by staff absence:
Ensuring parents/carers are contacted, where appropriate on the first day a pupil is absent.
Administration Core Responsibilities:
Work collaboratively within the operational and wider school community to ensure that our administrative processes meet the needs of our staff, students and families, and demonstrate our core values.
Be willing to learn and assist on a wide range of general administrative tasks, as needed to suit the needs of the team throughout the academic year.

What you need to apply for this role:
Good organisational skills, to be able to prioritise work and meet deadlines
Experience of maintaining and manipulating computerised and/or paper-based data/information
IT literate including a good working knowledge of MS
Office programs and databases
Experience of liaising with a range of stakeholders to find effective solutions
