Job Description
We are currently looking for a Senior Social worker/ Senior Practitioner to join the Children's Locality team for Stockport Council.
As a Senior Practitioner, you will:
* Build long-term relationships with families, seeing the impact of your work first-hand.
* Gain a broad range of experience, strengthening your knowledge and skillset.
* Support Team Leaders in performance management, mentoring students and ASYE social workers.
* Manage a reduced but complex caseload, allowing you time to develop professionally and support your team.
* Lead and guide social workers in best practices, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
* Work closely with multi-agency professionals to develop comprehensive support plans for children and families.
* Oversee case management, ensuring timely interventions and safeguarding procedures are followed.
* Support the implementation of policies, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and frameworks.
Essential Requirements:
* Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
* At least 3 years' experience as a social worker within children's services
* Social Work England Registration.
* Driving license and access to own vehicle.
