? Social Worker - Children in Care ?
? Location: Civic Offices, Saxon Gate East, Milton Keynes, MK9 3EJ
? Rate: £38 per hour (umbrella)
? Work Arrangement: Site-based with flexibility for 2 days home working (subject to manager's agreement)
? MUST-HAVE REQUIREMENTS:
?? Adoption & Children in Care (CIC) experience within the last 5 years
?? Permanent & Locum experience listed on CV - CVs without these will be rejected
About the Role:
As a Social Worker in the Children in Care Team, you will play a key role in ensuring the best outcomes for children and young people in care. You'll work in a systemic practice model, focusing on relationship-based interventions with children and families.
Key Responsibilities:
? Chair multi-disciplinary meetings & work closely with agencies to complete assessments and formulate child-centred care plans
? Complete annual Children & Family Assessments to review care plans
? Ensure children's day-to-day care needs are met and deliver direct work/life story work
? Manage a caseload of up to 20 children, including:
Children subject to Care Orders
Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children
Children placed with parents
Children subject to Placement Orders
? Work collaboratively with LAC nurses, mental health professionals, and the Virtual School
? Actively participate in team learning & development sessions
About You:
? Social Work England registered
? Strong knowledge of statutory responsibilities for Children in Care
? Experience in adoption & CIC within the last 5 years
? Ability to travel locally and nationally when required
? Passionate about learning, development, and systemic practice
