Hackney Council is seeking an experienced Qualified Social Worker to take on a Team Manager role within the Commissioning Placement Reviews Team. This role involves reviewing complex and high-cost care packages, ensuring value for money, and challenging providers to maintain appropriate care levels.

Key Responsibilities:
?? Review Complex & High-Cost Packages

Assess current care packages to determine if care levels can be safely reduced.
Ensure care providers are delivering the correct number of hours.
?? Cost Negotiation & Quality Assurance

Challenge providers on excessive costs and ensure cost-effectiveness.
Ensure care services are meeting expected quality standards.
?? Management & Leadership

Supervise and lead a team of social workers.
Provide expert advice and oversight in placement reviews.
About You:
? Qualified Social Worker (Social Work England registered)
? Extensive experience in Adults Social Care & Commissioning
? Strong understanding of care package reviews & cost reduction strategies
? Excellent negotiation and provider management skills
? Ability to lead, manage, and support a team effectively
