An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Occupational Therapist with essential Moving and Handling experience to join our Adult Community Team in Waltham. Please note that CVs will not be considered without demonstrable Moving and Handling experience in a community setting.

You will play a key role in delivering high-quality interventions, ensuring culturally sensitive and responsive service delivery, and supporting vulnerable adults with complex needs. This position also involves managing and supervising other staff members, requiring a strong foundation of post-qualification experience in Occupational Therapy.

Key Responsibilities
Complex Case Management: Undertake and complete highly complex casework within a statutory adult setting.
Risk Assessment: Demonstrate expert knowledge in assessing and mitigating complex risks interpret and understand the interplay between risk and protective factors.
Strength-Based Approach: Develop, monitor, and review strength-based support plans with clear timescales, ensuring interventions address identified risks.
Supervision & Leadership: Provide high-quality supervision to colleagues, sharing expertise and guiding best practice.
Collaboration: Work with a multi-cultural community in a culturally sensitive manner, prioritizing needs and delivering services that promote independence.
Budgetary Awareness: Understand and consider budget implications when planning and delivering services.
Information Gathering & Decision-Making: Collect data from various sources to inform evidence-based decisions systematically review and revise plans as needed.
Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate records, write comprehensive reports, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
ICT Proficiency: Utilize Microsoft applications and relevant IT systems to manage case information and documentation.

Essential Requirements
Moving & Handling Experience: Proven expertise working with adults in a community setting (non-negotiable).
Occupational Therapy Qualification: Significant post-qualifying experience in an OT role, with evidence of managing complex caseloads.
Supervisory Experience: History of providing high standards of supervision and guidance to junior staff or colleagues.
Statutory Adult Setting: Demonstrable experience in a statutory adult environment, delivering complex interventions.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to produce accurate and timely reports.
Cultural Competence: Experience working within a diverse community, ensuring service delivery is inclusive and respectful.
ICT Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with case management systems.
Risk Management: In-depth knowledge of assessing and responding to risks in a structured, evidence-based manner.
