Southend-on-Sea City Council is seeking a Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join their Adult Social Care Team on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a well-established, supportive team dedicated to improving the lives of vulnerable adults.

Key Responsibilities:
?? Case Management & Assessment

Complete Care Act assessments and support planning.
Undertake Mental Capacity Assessments (MCA) and Best Interest decisions (BI).
Conduct Safeguarding (S42) enquiries.
?? Multi-Agency Collaboration

Work closely with health professionals, carers, and service users to develop person-centered plans.
Liaise with external agencies, ensuring a coordinated approach to care and support.
?? Promoting Independence

Empower individuals to make informed choices about their care and well-being.
Work within a strength-based, person-centered approach.
About You:
? Qualified Social Worker (Social Work England registered)
? Experience working within Adult Social Care
? Knowledge of the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, and Safeguarding Procedures
? Strong communication and assessment skills
? Ability to work independently and within a team
