Butler Rose is delighted to present a fantastic opportunity for a Semi Senior Accountant to join a well-established and growing accountancy practice in Leicester. This role offers the chance to work within a dynamic and supportive team, delivering high-quality accounting services to a broad range of clients.
The Role
The client is looking for a dedicated and ambitious Semi Senior Accountant to assist with the preparation of accounts, VAT returns, and general accounting tasks while building strong relationships with a diverse client base.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing accounts for both unincorporated and incorporated businesses
- Analysing financial data to identify trends, variances, and potential issues
- Assisting with year-end accounts and tax compliance queries
- Preparing management accounts and processing VAT returns
- Developing and maintaining strong client relationships across various industries
- Mentoring and supporting junior team members
Key Requirements:
- AAT qualified and working towards ACA/ACCA qualification
- Strong knowledge of accounting systems such as Sage, Xero, and QuickBooks
- Experience in bookkeeping, VAT returns, and accounts preparation
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage a varied workload
- A proactive and hands-on approach with strong teamwork skills
