Lead Data Privacy and Security Compliance

Join a global technology consultancy and play a key role in ensuring data privacy and cyber security compliance for cutting-edge engineering projects.

As a Data Privacy and Security Manager, you will assess and mitigate privacy risks in complex engineering projects, ensuring compliance with EU and UK data protection regulations (GDPR). You will provide expert guidance on data handling, third-party interactions, international transfers, and privacy-enhancing techniques.

Responsibilities

• Identify and assess high-risk data processing activities and complex data flows.
• Advise on third-party data handling, international data transfers, and industry-specific regulations.
• Ensure compliance with data minimisation principles and data subject rights.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on privacy requirements in software, automotive, and cloud-based projects.

Experience

• Extensive experience as a dedicated Data Privacy professional.
• Proven ability to advise on technical and technology-driven processes (Automotive, IT, Software Development, Banking, or Engineering).
• Strong communication skills to translate complex legal concepts for technical teams.

Desirable

• CIPP/E qualification.
• Law degree or legal qualification.
• Engineering or IT degree.
