HGV Class 1.

Job Description

We are looking for Class 1 Drivers to work for one of the UK's leading logistics companies based from their depot in Portbury in Bristol (BS20).

The roles will involve driving a curtain sided lorry and completing between 1-6 palletised deliveries with minimal handballing. You will be delivering flat packed kitchens.

We have day shifts (06:00 starts) and night shifts (17:00 starts) available and shifts will be between 8-13 hours long.

The positions are temporary ongoing.

All candidates will need to complete an assessment and training which lasts about 4 hours (it's all paid for).

The client is happy to accept someone with less than 6 months experience as long as you feel confident you would pass the assessment.

Candidate Requirements:

• Previous experience driving Class 1 vehicles is necessary (even if it's just for 3-4 months)
• Valid UK C+E licence, CPC and Digi Tacho cards
• No more than 6 points for minor offences
• Working knowledge of WTD and highway code
• Good geographical knowledge
• Good level of spoken and written English

Pay Rates:

• £17 per hour Monday to Friday
• £20 for weekends (you will hardly ever work on weekends though)
