Our client, a global leader in conveyor equipment solutions utilizing modular plastic conveyor belts, is seeking a Field Service Technician. This role involves providing conveyor belt splicing support, training, troubleshooting, and resolving warranty issues within the APAC region. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, self-driven, adaptable, service-oriented, and upholds strong integrity and professionalism. Significant travel, mainly within Australia & New Zealand, is required.
Main Job Responsibilities:
Perform conveyor belt installations, repairs, and health checks according to our clients standards, ensuring optimal conveyor performance and longevity.
Conduct in-house product testing using appropriate testing equipment and procedures.
Maintain a clean and organized workshop, ensuring all equipment and tools are properly stored and maintained.
Manage tradeshow and demonstration equipment, including the packing/unpacking of conveyors.
Troubleshoot and provide on-site repairs or replacements as needed.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support ongoing projects and initiatives related to belt splicing and product testing.
Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, prioritizing safety in all work activities.
Skills & Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent technical certification or relevant vocational training preferred.
A minimum of one to two years of work experience.
Necessary licenses to perform services (e.g., forklift operation).
Basic knowledge of MS Office CAD knowledge is a plus.
Exposure to conveyor belts and related technologies is preferred.
Practical and "hands-on" approach.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Must be able to travel internationally.
