? Pay Rate: £34 p/h
? Full-Time | Hybrid Working Available

Join Thurrock's Family Support Team!
We are seeking an experienced Senior Practitioner (SP) to join Thurrock's Family Support Team. This is a great opportunity for a highly skilled social worker looking to take on a senior role in a supportive and proactive team.

Key Responsibilities:
?? Case Management & Direct Work with Families:

Hold a complex caseload, supporting children and families through assessments, interventions, and care planning.
Work preventatively to keep families together where safe and appropriate.
Undertake Child in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP), and Court Proceedings work.
?? Safeguarding & Multi-Agency Working:

Lead safeguarding investigations and ensure timely interventions.
Collaborate with schools, health professionals, police, and voluntary agencies to provide wraparound support.
Attend and contribute to Child Protection Conferences, Core Group Meetings, and Court Hearings.
?? Mentoring & Supporting Junior Staff:

Provide guidance, mentoring, and case consultations for social workers.
Assist in team development, quality assurance, and reflective practice.
Support the Team Manager with decision-making and case escalations.
About You:
? Qualified Social Worker (QSW) with Social Work England registration.
? Significant experience in safeguarding, family support, and court work.
? Strong knowledge of Children's Act 1989, Working Together to Safeguard Children, and Public Law Outline (PLO).
? Proven ability to assess risk, make sound decisions, and manage complex cases.
? Experience mentoring or supporting junior staff/students is desirable.
