Working as an FP&A Analyst, you will support the business in making the right decisions to achieve long term success. Specifically, this includes owning the relationship with several cost centre managers (and their departments) and working with them to drive and maintain good cost control over headcount and discretionary spend. Developing and maintaining efficient and effective processes and reporting to support good cost control (OPEX and CAPEX) will also be important.

Key Responsibilities – What you’ll be doing

  • Provide insight and analysis to support the forecasting cycle for the Vet Group, including the annual budget and reforecasts
  • Support the period end process for cost centre reporting, including analysis of spend, reforecasting and production of reports to be shared with cost centre owners and the vet leadership team
  • Analysing and categorising all capex spend
  • Support the periodic reporting process producing updates on year to date spend and forecast spend for the remainder of the year
  • Provide analysis and support to ad-hoc projects being undertaken by the FP&A team

About you – What you’ll bring to the Role

Essential

  • Part or fully qualified
  • Excel and Powerpoint skills – ability to manipulate data efficiently and present information effectively
  • Month end execution – knowledge of core accounting concepts e.g. accruals and prepayments, processing journals, review of relevant P&L codes for accuracy and reasonableness

Desirable

  • Previous Cost Centre (finance management of) experience – reporting of actuals and influencing budget submissions
  • Business Partnership
  • Experience of using SAP
