Contracts Adviser (FIDIC) - Infrastructure - Mozambique

Sector: Highways and Civil Engineering

Role Overview

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Contracts Adviser with extensive experience in the road sector to join our team. This pivotal role involves providing technical assistance, project supervision, and contract administration for major road works. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with strong interpersonal and project management skills.

Key Responsibilities

*Provide technical assistance on major road works projects, including collaboration with public institutions.

*Supervise road construction projects following EDF or FIDIC procedures.

*Manage contracts and ensure adherence to administrative and technical standards.

*Leverage recent experience in public administration and private sector project management to drive success.

Qualifications & Skills Required

*Educational Background:

Degree or professional qualification in Highways/Civil Engineering or a directly related discipline. Equivalent professional experience will be considered.

*Skills:

*Proven interpersonal communication and project management skills.

*Fluency in English is mandatory; Portuguese proficiency is a plus.

Professional Experience

*General Experience:

*Minimum of 10 years' post-graduate professional experience (15 years preferred).

*Specific Experience:

*Minimum of 10 years' experience in the road sector with proven technical competence in construction and/or supervision.

*At least 3 years of technical assistance on major road works projects, preferably with public institutions.

*Supervision experience under EDF or FIDIC procedures is an added advantage.

*Recent experience in public administration and private sector project management will be highly valued.

*Experience working in developing countries will be an advantage.


Salary
: 300 to 350 USD Per Day
