 OUTLINE:
A successful Commissioning Engineer will need to be motivated, have attention to detail and take pride in their work. You will require a willingness to take ownership and responsibility for your projects and to work well with other people around you, building and managing relationships. 
Technical Skills You will be required to have: 
I. A proven track record of carrying out a similar role, commissioning Fire Alarm and Life Safety systems. 
II. Valid and in date ECS or CSCS card. 
III. Knowledge of Fire Alarm systems - Gent, Siemens, Advanced, Kentec systems preferred. 
IV. Knowledge of Aspirator systems - Vesda, Siemens, Wagner preferred. 
V. Knowledge of PAVA systems – TOA, Baldwin Boxall preferred. 
VI. Knowledge of Graphics systems – Gent, Advanced, Siemens preferred. 
VII. A minimum of 5 GCSE grade C/4 or above (or equivalent), ideally in Math’s and Science. 
VIII. A working knowledge of Microsoft packages; Outlook, Excel, and Word. 
IX. Good written and communication skills and comfortable in customer facing environments. 

Other qualifications (IPAF, PASMA, FIA) are also desirable, continued training is offered and will be provided to the right candidate. 

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The role of Commissioning Engineer is to attend sites to commission and oversee the installation of fire alarm and safety systems for various projects we undertake, mostly in the London area. 
A Commissioning Engineer is expected to maintain the company’s standard of work in all duties. You will have overall responsibility for ensuring that systems are installed correctly and function to our design specification and the clients’ requirements. 
Overview of work stream and roles undertaken: 
1. Commissioning fire alarm and safety systems and overseeing that these are installed correctly. 
2. Programming projects as per the CE matrix. 
3. Utilising technical skills to conduct test inspections and quality control checks. 
4. Assisting other engineers on site. 
5. Attending all required site meetings. 
6. To work with and maintain the existing commissioning department procedures. 
7. Preparation of all documents to meet the company standards. 
8. Supervise, mentor, and encourage other team members. Treating them in a professional manner. 
9. All your site activities will be client facing and as a result you are our representative to the client.
