On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for a Business Analyst (Corporate Actions) for an initial 6 month contract based in London with remote work available (Hybrid).

Purpose of the Role:

As a Business Analyst you will join a technology team specialising in Corporate Actions. This role will focus on a strategic transition project involving the replacement of an existing system and the implementation of a new, streamlined solution. You will play a critical role in ensuring seamless transition, requiring a strong blend of analytical skills, stakeholder management, and adaptability to deliver tangible results. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role suitable for someone who can navigate intricate processes, thrives on learning quickly, adapting to new challenges, and bringing structure to evolving projects.

Responsibilities of the role:

As a Business Analyst you will be responsible for:

  • Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to gather, analyse, and document requirements for decommissioning the system.
  • Process Mapping: Develop detailed process flows and identify dependencies, gaps, and areas of risk during decommissioning lifecycle.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as the bridge between business and technical teams, ensuring alignment on objectives and timelines.
  • Impact Assessment: Analyse the impacts of the system being replaced on upstream and downstream systems, including Corporate Actions workflows.
  • Solution Validation: Support the design, testing, and validation of solutions to mitigate risks and ensure business continuity.
  • Project Support: Assist the project manager in maintaining project plans, status reports, and issue resolution logs.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all decommissioning activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal standards.

What we require from the candidate:

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst in financial services or technology sectors, with a focus on Corporate Actions or similar domains.
  • Hands-on experience in system transitioning projects or similar decommissions.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficient in tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Visio etc).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex topics for diverse audiences.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and frameworks working with teams across multiple time zones.
  • Adaptable and proactive, with a track record of learning new systems and processes quickly.

Preferred

  • Strong understanding of Corporate Actions workflows, including dependencies and operational risks is desirable.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements in Corporate Actions (e.g., ISO 15022/20022 standards) is desirable.
