Responsibilities
This role will require you to be a subject matter expert for Haymarket Business Media’s marketing technologies, supporting marketing teams and offshore colleagues, on how to optimise and best deliver campaigns using marketing data/technology/automation.
You will support existing marketing automation capabilities, but help drive new approaches across campaign automation and more.
- Work with marketing teams across the business to gain an in-depth understanding of their business objectives and campaign management needs
- Build both one off and automated/triggered campaigns for lead generation, onboarding, lead nurture, sales conversion and engagement
- Support the operational product launch process for campaigns and automated journeys, including email development (design, copy, audience QA) and program build
- Deliver regular comprehensive reporting on campaign performance and business impact to key stakeholders, identifying opportunities to optimise performance
- Help define and support campaign automation and best practices
- Maintain and improve company-wide processes to ensure quality checkpoints are in place as part of the email deployment process
- Serve as an advocate for GDPR and data privacy law/compliance, particularly in the context of email operations
- Provide insight and support for marketing users in understanding the meaning and best use of data, to encourage a more data-driven approach and increase the impact of database marketing activities and ensure campaign success.
- Identifying opportunities where automation could reduce manual tasks/free up time, or improve customer experience across both Campaign and Bulletin programs.
- Providing guidance and supervision to outsourced campaign team members in the successful execution of complex campaigns
Skills / Experience / Knowledge / Minimum Criteria
We are looking for a creative and commercially minded individual who is:
- Curious & Proactive: You enjoy exploring new ideas and are driven to solve problems—even when they’re not clearly defined.
- Data-Savvy Communicator: You’re adept at interpreting data and can communicate insights effectively across audiences.
- Technical Proficiency: Experience with email marketing platforms and automation technologies is essential. Ideally you’ll have experience of using a CPD similar to Amperity or Unity as well as HTML and CSS skills.
- Team-Oriented: You thrive in collaborative environments, supporting and learning from those around you. Ideally you’ll bring experience of coaching or training other team members.
- Attention to Detail: You have a keen eye for detail and can work efficiently under time constraints.
- Privacy Focused: You understand data protection and data security procedures, ensuring compliance at all times.
- Organised & Agile: You can balance competing demands, prioritise effectively, and consistently meet deadlines.
