We’re now looking for a Marketing Automation Manager to engage our audiences across all our brands. In this role, you’ll leverage your knowledge of data and marketing automation to design, refine, and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns and bulletin newsletter programs. You’ll work collaboratively with our marketing teams to create high-impact customer journeys that enhance brand experience, drive engagement, and ultimately boost conversion.
Responsibilities
- Act as a go-to expert for Haymarket Business Media’s marketing technologies, advising teams and offshore colleagues on best practices for campaign execution, data usage, and automation strategies.
- Manage both one-off and automated campaigns, supporting lead generation, onboarding, nurturing, and customer engagement.
- Oversee the launch process for automated journeys, including email design, audience quality checks, and campaign builds.
- Deliver regular, insightful reports on campaign performance to stakeholders, identifying optimisation opportunities.
- Enhance company-wide processes to ensure quality checkpoints are integrated into the email deployment workflow.
- Advocate for GDPR and data privacy compliance in all email and marketing automation activities.
- Identify areas where automation can streamline operations or improve customer experience, reducing manual tasks for the team.
- Provide guidance to outsourced campaign team members, ensuring successful execution of complex campaigns.
Skills / Experience / Knowledge / Minimum Criteria
You’re a creative and commercially minded professional with the following attributes:
- Curious & Proactive: You enjoy exploring new ideas and are driven to solve problems—even when they’re not clearly defined.
- Data-Savvy Communicator: You’re adept at interpreting data and can communicate insights effectively across audiences.
- Technical Proficiency: Experience with email marketing platforms and automation technologies is essential. Ideally you’ll have experience of using a CPD similar to Amperity or Unity as well as HTML and CSS skills.
- Team-Oriented: You thrive in collaborative environments, supporting and learning from those around you. Ideally you’ll bring experience of coaching or training other team members.
- Attention to Detail: You have a keen eye for detail and can work efficiently under time constraints.
- Privacy Focused: You understand data protection and data security procedures, ensuring compliance at all times.
- Organised & Agile: You can balance competing demands, prioritise effectively, and consistently meet deadlines.
- B2B Background: Experience in B2B marketing is preferred but not essential.
