Live Out Housekeeper Companion Job

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Housekeeper/Companion for a beautiful home in Petworth, West Sussex. This role involves not only maintaining a clean and organised household but also providing assistance to an elderly couple. The couple is still physically independent; however, they require some assistance with the day-to-day running of their home and meal preparation.

The couple values their alone time and space, so this position is ideal for someone with emotional intelligence who can recognise when to give them privacy. There will be downtime when you are at the property, so we are looking for someone who enjoys a steady pace of life and does not need to be constantly on the go.

The Housekeeper/Companion should be capable of cooking simple and light meals, including preparing light breakfast, lunch when appropriate, and dinner to be stored in the fridge for later.

Duties:

• Perform general housekeeping duties, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and laundry.
• Maintain a tidy and organized living space for the couple.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to the clients while respecting their need for space.
• Engage in outings with the residents as needed, including taking them to see friends and attend appointments.
• Prepare simple and healthy meals.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of the couple.
