Brand Development Manager
Molson Coors
Role
The role of Brand Development Manager (BDM) is part of the Sales team. This isn't a hard sell, quick win role - our aim is to build long lasting relationships with our customers and support them every step of the way! This is a field-based role - we use technology to drive efficiency but carry out our business in person.
You will spend your time visiting all types of hospitality outlets, each with a slightly different need and opportunity. You will support the rest of your team to grow the distribution of our brands, working on a right brand, right outlet principle. Each day is different - you will be responsible for meeting your set objectives but also have the flexibility to identify opportunities and manage your own diary.
To be successful on the role, you will need to:
- Cultivate strong relationships: A BDM will need to excel at building and maintaining effective relationships with various stakeholders, including customers, wholesalers, and internal colleagues. They will need to present a good impression to others.
- Drive accountability and goal achievement: A BDM must take ownership of their targets and consistently deliver results. They should exhibit a proactive attitude, actively assisting customers and taking responsibility for their work.
- Influence communication: A BDM must have a social presence and take ownership, shaping the way that they communicate in order to influence the outcomes required.
- Optimise time management: A successful BDM needs to meticulously plan and structure their time, by effectively organising their days in advance. Additionally, they must allocate time for administrative tasks such as email correspondence and data entry, ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.
- Adapt in dynamic environments: Being able to adapt to changing situations is a crucial skill for a BDM. They should remain composed and level-headed, even in the face of unexpected phone calls, sudden changes to schedules, or demanding customers.
The Recruitment Process:
Step 1: Application - this will include questions around your motivation for the role and how you can add to the culture at Molson Coors.
Step 2: Measuring your Potential - Arctic Shores' task-based assessment. You will be asked to complete some exciting, engaging tasks which will help us get to know you better! In return, you'll receive a personalised feedback report.
Step 3: Interview - Situation-based questions that are related to the important behaviours needed to be successful on the role. Our aim will be to understand how you would tackle certain situations you will face on the job. A presentation on your favourite brand, any brand, and a group exercise.
Step 4: Decision/Feedback - You will receive feedback even if we do not make the decision to offer you the job or progress you to the next stage.
