Job description - the role

AMS is the world's leading provider of Talent Acquisition and Management Services. Our contingent Workforce Solutions (CWS) service acts as an extension of our clients' recruitment team and provides professional interim and temporary resources. We partner with Arup to support contingent recruitment processes. On behalf of Arup, we are looking for a Senior Architect for a 12 month contract based in London

As a Senior Architect at Arup, you will:

We're looking for a self-motivated, creative Architect, with 10+ years' post-graduate experience, who displays excellent leadership skills and has a strong flair for design. You will deliver full design services tailored to our client needs from concept design through to project handover. A demonstrated ability to manage the design and delivery of large, technical projects is beneficial.

We're looking for someone who is passionate about Architecture. We also value:

  • Masters/Bachelor of Architecture.
  • Minimum 10 years post-graduate experience.
  • Excellent design flair with a combination of creative and analytical skills.
  • Experience leading large design teams on complex projects from concept through to completion and delivering work as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Strong emphasis on detail design and construction.
  • Experience of working in a BIM environment required,experience in REVIT desirable.
  • Ability to collaborate with other disciplines to produce fully coordinated project information including BIM models, drawings, schedules, and specifications.
  • Experience in delivering sustainable buildings preferred. This can be demonstrated through any recognised certification processes; knowledge of embodied carbon and life cycle analysis and/or designs using circular economy principles.
  • Ambition to engage in digital design solutions to support efficient working practices and automation.
  • Working knowledge of Railway and Infrastructure projects is essential
  • Ability to use Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign is desirable.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English and strong graphic communication skills are essential.
