The Opportunity

Through 9 weeks of full-time virtual training, led by our expert trainers, you’ll gain the skills you need to thrive as a Cost Controller. Following training,  our leading public sector client, where your expertise will be vital to business management and cost control. 

As a Cost Controller, you’ll play a key role in managing cost data, forecasts, performance analysis, and more, within a Programme Controls Team. We value different viewpoints, and whether you’re returning to work, changing careers, or stepping into your first professional role, your contributions will be essential to the success of impactful projects. 

A Day in the Life of a Cost Controller: 

Producing and maintaining accurate cost and cash forecasts in alignment with cost assessments and approved changes. 

Development of cost systems and ensuring objectives are met. 

Managing cost data within financial control systems and providing timely, clear reports for stakeholders. 

Accurately assessing Earned Value (EAC) and applying earned value techniques. 

Analyzing trends to identify risks and opportunities. 

Integrating cost estimates and forecasts while adhering to governance and cost standards. 

We’re Looking for Individuals Who: 

Are comfortable using tools like Excel and other cost management technologies. 

Excel at building strong relationships and working collaboratively within teams. 

Bring diverse perspectives and experiences that enhance team performance.

Who can apply? 

Candidates must be willing and able to obtain the necessary DV clearance for this role. We can only accept applications from British Citizens, who have resided in the UK for 10+ years with no breaks.  For those who are not born in the UK but now hold British Citizenship, there may be some restrictions regarding your country of birth.
