We are Currently looking for a Service Manager to join the Children with Disability & CIC team for Wigan Council.
At Wigan, we have implemented the Family Safeguarding Model that is aimed at reducing workloads, making time for social workers to spend time with families rather than being sat behind a computer. We sit alongside our partners, allowing us to have quick conversations and to share records on one system. And what's even more special about Wigan is we give you permission to innovate, always listening to how we can do things differently.
Looking after our Academy teams, you will have the important job of leading the team managers of our newly qualified social workers, developing them to be amazing social workers and our future leaders. As our Designated Social Care Officer and Service Manager for our Children with Disabilities Service, you will have a passion for inclusion and partnership working, making sure our children with SEND have the best provision possible.
What do you need:
Significant experience of being a senior leader, safeguarding lead and working with Children with disabilities and their families
two years references,
Social Work Qualified,
