Job Opportunity: Commercial Property Assistant at UKAEA
Overview
Join UKAEA's Commercial Property Group (CPG) as a Commercial Property Assistant and support the delivery of our strategic business objectives. This dynamic role involves representing the CPG by delivering a professional and informed service to attract new occupiers and support existing ones. You will coordinate the delivery of accurate reports, statistics, financial costings, and general information to enable decision-making for our Investment Portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
As a Commercial Property Assistant, you will support CPG Managers across a diverse range of tasks, including:

Lease and Tenant Management: Maintain lease and tenant information (both paper and electronic) to ensure key milestones such as lease breaks and rent reviews are met. Provide statistics and reports as needed.
Reporting: Manage the collation of up-to-date information for the Commercial Property Manager to report to DESNZ regarding UKAEA's property holdings and tenancy arrangements.
Advisory Role: Advise colleagues, tenants, contractors, and others on procedures and processes.
Project Management: Proactively manage small projects and other delegated work, prioritizing workloads effectively.
Meetings: Arrange and attend regular tenant meetings, produce accurate reports, and ensure actions are appropriately addressed. Arrange meetings with internal and external stakeholders and take minutes.
Support to Harwell Management Team: Provide necessary information and advice.
Asset Valuation: Assist with the annual Asset Valuation exercise and respond to Business Rates information requests.
Collaboration Events: Support collaboration events such as tenant lunches, Bike to Work, and other activities.
Campus Surveys: Assist with tenant feedback or travel surveys.
Financial Monitoring: Monitor and report on financial expenditure within the CPG Group.
Qualifications and Experience
To be successful in this role, you should have:

Experience in Property and/or Facilities Management sectors.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail with the ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively.
High-quality customer service skills.
A strong team spirit with a proactive and willing attitude.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
Experience in minute-taking, ideally within property/facility sectors.
GCSE grade C and above (or equivalent) in English Language and Math.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
