Course Design & Developers (Inside IR35) X 2

Contract Term: 12 Months

Contracting Authority: Nuclear Waste Services

Location: Hybrid - 1 day per week in Office - Either Cumbria, Warrington or Harwell.

Nuclear Waste Services brings together the UK's leading nuclear waste management capabilities.

This role will be instrumental in supporting the Senior Technical Competency Manager/Leadership Development Lead in defining and delivery of the NWS training strategy and will be responsible for the design delivery of technical, personnel and professional development and competency-based training incorporating a blended approach to service that is required across the organisation.

As a Course Design & Developer, your main responsibilities will be:

  • Defining and delivery of the NWS training strategy and will be responsible for the design delivery of technical, personnel and professional development and competency-based training incorporating a blended approach to service that is required across the organisation.
  • For engagement with the SME once the formal analysis (TRF) has been completed to start the development and design plan including story boarding.
  • Ensure all courses developed have SMART learning objectives and have a method of evaluating them ensuring appropriate method of delivery is agreed with SME.
  • Responsible for the Development/Completing Review with SME on the proposed Training Programme Content and assessment methods.
  • Ensuring pilot training events are scheduled in accordance with the L&D processes
  • Ensure all historical training that the newly developed courses has replaced and is decommissioned in accordance with the L&D Processes
  • Ensuring for a smooth handover of newly developed courses to the L&D central teams
