Senior Buyer

Job Description

Butler Rose are delighted to be partnered with a well known manufacturing business who currently have a requirement for an experienced Senior Buyer.

The role

The role is wide ranging in scope and responsibility but will primarily be responsible for achieving timely delivery of production materials to the manufacturing team, whilst maintaining targeted inventory turn performance and supporting the business requirements by purchasing assigned commodities to ensure quality, delivery and specification requirements are met. Duties include (but are not limited to):

Key Responsibilities:

• Raising POs
• Negotiating cost and lead times with suppliers
• Expediting of material deliveries
• Maintain key MRP system data
• Overall ownership of a key supplier relationship
• Complete order book management of a key supplier
• Reducing inventory value for category spend
• Other tasks as required

To be chosen for the role you must possess the following:

• Good communication skills to both internal & external customers/suppliers
• Able to effectively prioritise
• Good communication skills
• Emotional intelligence
• Confident user of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word

Package

Salary £35,000 - £39,000 + benefits
