Calderdale - QSW - Adult mental health £35 ph

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Level 3 Adults Social Worker to join our Adult Mental Health Social Work Team in Calderdale. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients, including adults aged 18 and above, encompassing older age groups.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive assessments of adults social care needs under the Care Act 2014.
Develop and implement strengths-based support plans tailored to individual needs.
Act as a Safeguarding Investigating Officer for Section 42 (S.42) inquiries.
Undertake reviews of commissioned care packages and advocate for appropriate services.
Demonstrate proficiency in Mental Capacity Act (MCA) and Best Interests Decision (BID) processes.
Collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams and inter-agency settings.
Ensure compliance with Section 117 (aftercare) requirements for mental health service users.

Requirements:

Qualified Level 3 Adults Social Worker with current registration with Social Work England (or equivalent).
Extensive and recent experience in statutory community adult social work.
Ability to work independently and within multi-disciplinary teams.
Understanding of mental health issues (preferred but not mandatory).
Proven competence in assessment, care planning, and safeguarding investigations.
Experience in reviewing care packages and managing Continuing Healthcare (CHC) funding.
Proficient in conducting Mental Capacity Assessments and Best Interests Decisions.
Access to a vehicle for travel within and around Calderdale.

Work Details:

Pay rate: £35 per hour
Contract Duration: 6-month fixed-term
Work Base: Central Halifax, with travel required for client visits
