Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Social Worker specializing in learning disabilities to join our team at Broxtowe Living Well. This role requires a dedicated professional with expertise in S.42 work and Mental Capacity Act (MCA) capacity assessments, coupled with strong assessment and care management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Conducting Section 42 (S.42) inquiries and assessments related to safeguarding vulnerable adults.
Performing Mental Capacity Act (MCA) capacity assessments and implementing appropriate interventions.
Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement personalized care plans.
Providing support and advocacy for individuals with learning disabilities and their families.
Facilitating effective communication and partnerships with relevant stakeholders.

Requirements:

Qualified Social Worker with relevant professional registration (HCPC).
Extensive experience in learning disability social work and adult safeguarding.
Proven competence in conducting S.42 inquiries and MCA capacity assessments.
Strong assessment, care planning, and care management skills.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork abilities.
