Consultation Response Analyst (Research)

Job Description

Eden Brown Synergy is currently working in partnership with a Public Sector Organisation in Bristol which is looking to recruit a Consultation Response Analyst on an interim basis for 4 weeks initially.

About the role:
You will be responsible for:
* Attending the office in Bristol for orientation and initial training, and for team working days (which will be frequent, especially in the first 1-2 weeks)
o The work of the Free Speech project and the specific details of our consultation on Free Speech duties.
o Learning, through training and practical exercises, the processes and skills required for the work.

* Delivering consultation analysis, including developing and applying a coding framework:
o Working in a small team of analysts under the supervision and leadership of staff, you will read responses to the consultation and use your understanding to help develop categories that describe the points raised, and capture common themes and issues, which can be used to characterise these responses.
o Having agreed categories, you will work line by line through responses to 'code' their content, using careful analysis and assimilation of information to create a qualitative and quantitative record, and using your training to recognise where there is a need for additional review by subject matter experts.
o You will use Microsoft Word to review responses, and Excel to record results.

* Desirable: experience of working in research or regulation.

* Skills : reading and assimilating information qualitative analysis and research.
