Job Title: Part-Time Building Surveyor

Location: London Borough of Lambeth

Position Type: Temporary to Permanent

Hours: 3 days a week, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

Salary: £30 per hour

Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Building Surveyor to join our team on a part-time basis. As a Building Surveyor, you will be responsible for conducting site inspections, assessing building conditions, and preparing detailed reports. This is a fully on-site role, providing you with the opportunity to engage directly with our properties and communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive site inspections to assess the condition of buildings and infrastructure.
  • Identify defects, structural issues, and maintenance requirements.
  • Prepare detailed reports outlining findings, recommendations, and suggested remedial actions.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders, contractors, and external agencies as necessary.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on building regulations, compliance, and best practices.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance and repair programs.

Requirements:

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Building Surveying or related field.
  • Proven experience working as a Building Surveyor, preferably within a local authority or similar environment.
  • Strong knowledge of building regulations, construction techniques, and relevant legislation.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficient in the use of surveying tools, software, and IT systems.
  • Full UK driving license and access to own transport preferred.
