Job Description

Team Manager required for work within the Intake & Assessment team and Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children's Team in the Cardiff area. Long Term contracts in a location with good transport links. 37 hrs a week. Competitive rates of pay- £45ph.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Team Manager to join the UASC Team based in Cardiff. You will be the lead for the UASC Team however this role will also directly operate and work with the Looked After Children team - supporting mainstream LAC / CiC cases, in addition to UASC.

The Team Manager will be responsible for managing a team of practitioners, whose duties include developing pathway plans, visiting children in care and handling extremely complex cases. Maintaining close positive links with outside agencies and service providers within the community is a service priority.

You will be committed to embedding a high-performance culture by helping your team to continually develop their skills so that they can achieve the best outcomes for our children. Through reflective supervision meetings with your team of social workers, you'll champion their personal and professional growth. Alongside your role as a people manager, you will also be responsible for the allocation and oversight of children within your defined area, ensuring quality standards are maintained, as well as supporting social workers to identify risk and decide when to take protective action.

You will be SWE registered, ideally a driver with access to own car and able to reside and work in the UK
