This time, our client is one of the 5 biggest EPC solar and BESS contractors in the world. With presence in 30 Countries, and more than 2000 employees, their worldwide portfolio includes 156 O&M Projects, 18GWp EPC Portfolio, and so on.

Already strongly present in America, Oceania, and Asia, they are fiercely piercing through the EU market, specifically Spain and Italy.

As of now, they are looking for a Solar Project Engineering Portfolio Manager based in Seville capable of ensuring the successful execution of the project within the agreed time frame by maintaining safety, quality, profitability, and cost, and with the following duties, responsibilities, and skills:

1. H&S Standards

  • Comply with HSE policies, objectives and management systems.
  • Adherence to international Standards & Conventions namely IFC performance standard 4 writ avoidance or minimizing of risk & impact to community health safety and security.
  • Review and amend work methods to eliminate risks.
  • Ensure Risk Assessment processes and HSE plans are properly applied within each project team.
  • Ensure HSE data and reporting requirements are complied with on each project.
  • Ensure Projects develop emergency response plans and comply with requirements (when required).

2. Compliance

  • Ensure Business Operations comply with statutory and contractual requirements.
  • Closely work with Project managers to verify compliance of sub-contractors and client contractors
  • IFC/ Developers special requirement compliances

3. Quality Standards

  • Drive quality management plans in business operations
  • Perform project safety, quality accreditation & financial audits/ assessments.
  • Implement frequent quality audits to ensure the site is fully compliant.

4. Environment Standards

  • Ensure that a Project Environmental Management Plan is produced and implemented for each project.

5. Business Management and Strategy

  • Prepare and present a detailed cost v/s profitability plan to the Directors for the successful execution of the project.
  • Negotiate contracts for various materials/ processes with various vendors.
  • Develop and manage client relationships for smooth execution.
  • Build a strong strategy to Plan and execute the project to generate maximum revenue.
  • Implement industry best practices

6. Financial Management

  • Understand and implement contracts on different levels for projects and relevant to the role Identification of contract requirements and client procedures.
  • Minimise the expenses and maintain the overall budget..
  • Manage and communicate financial aspects of projects to executive management, client, and others as required
  • Review progress and cost outcomes and ensure that early, appropriate and effective actions are taken as a result of reviews to ensure project commercial outcomes are met.

7. Risk Management

  • Risk identification and management.
  • Application of hierarchy of risk controls (completion of risk assessments).
  • Implementation of risk management process and mitigation (regular risk review). Drive the creation of systems, practices and behaviors that promote the identification and appropriate management of potential risks and opportunities including Workplace Risk Assessments, Activity Method Statements, Task Risk Assessments, Inspection and Test Plans and Site Environmental Plans.
  • Monitor projects and identify and immediately act upon, any areas of exposure or risk to margin.
  • Analyze and communicate project status, risks, schedule and costs to all internal and external stakeholders

8. Team Management & Employee Relations

  • Maximise the performance of employees using cost effective training programs, capability programs, skill building
  • Engage in conversation with the team, site employees and sub -contractors, clients to get maximum outcome.
  • Create a detailed project charter/ project plan and KRAs' for all team members to achieve project targets.
  • Keep the stakeholders engaged through-out the project phase by ensuring that their objectives are met.
  • Drive new initiatives, engagement activities to keep the motivated
  • Regular discussion with employees to know about their ' know-hows.
  • Mentor entire team positively to achieve project deadline.

- KNOWLEDGE--> Computer literacy with proficiency in Project Management tools & Designing S/W & ERP.

- EDUCATION--> Electrical, Civil, Mechanical Engineering.

- EXPERIENCE--> 10 - 15 years experience, + at least 5 within the photovoltaic sector.
