They are currently seeking a highly skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join the design team. You will primarily work on commercial office real estate, restaurants/bars, and high-end residential projects, reporting directly to the Head of Department. Collaborating with a small and dynamic team of design engineers, electrical engineers, and an associate director, you will play a key role in supporting and leading the MEP design projects.

The team work with some prestigious Clients, Architects and Project Management firms, they prefer to work on small to medium size jobs to keep our days interesting and challenging and to ensure that their Engineers are skilled across different types of Commercial Property and Building Services Engineering.

The Business covers Projects & Design, Consultancy and Maintenance Management across both MEP Services and Lifts and is built on smart and flexible working with the majority of Projects and Clients located in Central London, they have a sociable and relaxed office culture and a friendly working environment across the business.

What we are looking for (Role Description)
They are looking for a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to work in the Design team in London. Most of this work will be in Commercial Office Real Estate, Restaurants/Bars and High End Residential projects reporting directly into the Head of Department.
This unique role will in part see you working in a small dynamic Design team alongside three Mechanical Design Engineers an Electrical Design Engineer and Associate Director, supporting and leading their MEP Design projects.
* Leading Feasibility and Concept electrical design stages through to RIBA Stages 3, 4 & 5.
* Working alongside Architects, Project Managers, Managing Agents and Direct Clients
* Producing Electrical Design Schematics, Designs, Calculations, Tender Issue Drawings and Technical Schedules
* Developing our Electrical Design Standards and Electrical AutoCAD /BIM templates
* Electrical Surveys, Energy analysis/Power Factor surveys, Consultancy & Troubleshooting
* Liaison with electrical utilities companies for new or upgraded electrical supplies to support mechanical projects where their Clients are transitioning their assets from Gas to Grid Power
* Electrical Plant Replacement Projects across ASHP, PV, Generators, Switchgear/Distribution, Lighting, Controls, Fire Detection systems and EV charging

The role will ideally suit an Electrical Engineer with 3+ years technical Electrical Design and Building Services / MEP Engineering experience with strengths in the following areas:
* Electrical Services Design & Electrical Feasibility,
* Electrical infrastructure design, sizing and calculations
* Feasibility Report Writing
* Lighting Design
* Written and Verbal Communications Skills
* Contractor / Client communications skills
* Practical experience of all aspects of Building Services and ability to troubleshoot problems with ease
* Commercial acumen for Business Development and identifying Client growth opportunities
* Experience of Technical Project Monitoring and Commissioning Management

In return, we offer a highly competitive salary ranging up to £55,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additionally, you will receive an annual performance bonus of up to 20%, with spot bonuses available. They provide 28 days of annual leave per year (exclusive of statutory holidays) and offer a company pension scheme and a cycle to work scheme.
