Job description - the role

On behalf of Deutsche Bank, we are looking for a Business Data Analyst/Data Analyst for a 6 months contract with possibility of extension contract based in Birmingham (hybrid -3 days in a week).

Purpose of the roles

Business Data Analyst/Data Analyst is accountable for assessing AML risks linked to client activity - by owning key deliverables in the Actimize migration project and supporting BAU activities as required.

Key responsibilities

  • Liaising with different AFC functions, AFC IT and business stakeholders to obtain and document requirements for migration of the existing automated TM solution to Actimize.
  • Perform detailed gap analysis between the existing automated TM solution and Actimize.
  • Evidencing that Actimize coverage meets or exceeds existing requirements to facilitate a successful migration.
  • Documenting process flows and key operating procedures.
  • Write and execute technical testing for solutions specified.
  • Perform data quality issue root-cause analysis and data remediation activities.
  • Supporting the investigations team with project and BAU queries.
  • Coordinating and communicating across TM governance forums as required and attend appropriate governance forums and provide relevant input.

Skills and Qualifications

    • Extensive experience in data analysis and management with proven analytical, judgment and research skills, i.e. ability to write SQL queries or equivalent is mandatory.
    • Experience in implementation and understanding of TM systems, tuning and/or oversight of TM projects, e.g. Mantas, Actimize, NASDAQ SMART or other market leading solutions.
    • Experience working as part of a team in multinational financial organisations.
