Our client is a leading provider of affordable and social housing, is seeking a dedicated Estate Operative to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the maintenance and upkeep of our properties and estates. A clean full UK driving licence and the ability to pass a DBS check are essential requirements for this position.

Responsibilities:

  1. Property Maintenance: Carry out routine maintenance tasks on residential properties, including repairs, painting, and gardening, to ensure they are well-maintained and presentable.

  2. Grounds Maintenance: Maintain communal areas, gardens, and outdoor spaces within housing estates, ensuring they are clean, tidy, and safe for residents to enjoy.

  3. Waste Management: Manage waste and recycling facilities on estates, including collection, disposal, and recycling of waste materials in accordance with environmental regulations.

  4. Security Checks: Conduct regular security checks of properties and communal areas, reporting any suspicious activities or concerns to management and taking appropriate action as necessary.

  5. Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to residents, responding promptly to their queries, concerns, and requests for assistance in a professional and courteous manner.

  6. Health and Safety: Adhere to health and safety regulations and guidelines at all times, ensuring that work is carried out safely and that any hazards or risks are promptly addressed.

  7. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs, ensuring that documentation is up-to-date and accessible for reference and reporting purposes.

Requirements:

  • Clean full UK driving licence is essential for this position.

  • Ability to pass a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.

  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in social housing or property management.

  • Strong practical skills and knowledge of property maintenance and grounds keeping.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach.

  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and positive attitude.
