Our client is a leading provider of modular building solutions, is seeking a skilled Industrial Forklift Driver to join our team in Purfleet. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the efficient operation of our manufacturing facility and requires experience in operating industrial forklifts.

Responsibilities:

  1. Material Handling: Safely operate industrial forklifts to move materials, components, and finished products within the manufacturing facility, ensuring timely and efficient transportation to designated areas.

  2. Loading and Unloading: Load and unload materials and products from delivery vehicles, storage areas, and production lines using forklifts, following safety protocols and handling procedures.

  3. Stock Management: Assist with stock management activities, including inventory checks, stocktaking, and replenishment, ensuring accurate records are maintained and discrepancies are promptly reported.

  4. Production Support: Support production teams by supplying materials and components to production lines as needed, ensuring a continuous flow of materials to meet production schedules.

  5. Quality Assurance: Handle materials and products with care to prevent damage and maintain quality standards, following handling instructions and safety guidelines at all times.

  6. Health and Safety: Adhere to health and safety regulations and guidelines for forklift operation, including conducting pre-use checks, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and following safe operating procedures.

  7. Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance checks on forklifts, including inspections, lubrication, and minor repairs, to ensure they are in good working condition and report any defects or issues to supervisors.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Industrial Forklift Driver, preferably in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.

  • Valid forklift operator certification is required.

  • Good knowledge of forklift operation and safety practices.

  • Physical fitness and manual dexterity to operate forklift controls and handle materials.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling materials and products.

  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
