Prototype Development Engineer - Advanced Cell Technology

Product department team needs qualified individuals to work on the enhancement of lithium-ion cell designs and prototypes. The major responsibility of this role is to bridge with R7D team and address design challenges and adopt new technologies into products. Furthermore, the role involves maintaining comprehensive records, analyzing data, and preparing reports, reflecting the companys focus on documentation and quality control for consistent and reliable cell design and manufacturing.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design and prototyping enhancement: Evaluate cell performance and optimize designs for enhanced characteristics.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address design issues and manufacturing challenges. Oversee fabrication, testing, and improvement of lithium-ion cell prototypes.
  • Record-keeping and data analysis: Maintain detailed records of design iterations, test results, and performance data.
  • Conduct data analysis and plotting.
  • Reporting and documentation: Prepare reports and technical documentation to effectively communicate findings and recommendations.
  • Quality control implementation: Implement quality control processes and procedures to ensure consistency and reliability in cell manufacturing. YOUR PROFILE:
  • Bachelor/Master's degree in: Electrical Engineering/ Materials Science/ Chemical Engineering with relevant coursework or specialization in battery technology/materials science/quality control methods would be beneficial.
  • Hands-on experience in designing or fabricating, and testing lithium-ion cell prototypes, along with familiarity with testing equipment and procedures.
  • Proficiency in preparing technical reports, documentation, and presentations to effectively communicate findings, recommendations, and progress to cross-functional teams and management.
  • Understanding of quality control processes and methodologies, with the ability to implement and maintain quality assurance measures in manufacturing environments.
  • Good skills in data analysis, including statistical analysis and the use of tools like Excel (MATLAB, Python could be beneficial) or other data analysis software to interpret test results and drive design improvements.
