Job Description
Qualifications:
-Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field. -Min 3 years experience in the battery industry -Strong understanding of battery pack design principles, thermal management techniques, and system integration considerations. -Proven experience in the design, development, and testing of lithium-ion battery packs and modules, preferably with a focus on prismatic LFP batteries. -Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks) and simulation tools for thermal analysis (e.g., ANSYS, COMSOL). -Familiarity with battery safety standards and regulations, including experience in safety analysis and risk assessment. -Knowledge of material design and how to achieve faster charging and rate capability
Responsibilities:
- Designing and building prismatic cells
- Electrode slurry formulations, mixing, and coating
- Provide engineering analysis for the impact of different components in the prismatic cell on the overall performance of the cell
- Operating equipment for laboratory testing including electrochemical analyzers
- Prepare electrochemical reports, and effectively communicate results
- Work with external prospects and customers to define, develop, and exceed specifications
- Plan, organize, direct, and follow up on project-related testing activities
- Ensure delivery of the project activities and interact with RnD
