Cell System Engineer

Job Description

-Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field. -Min 3 years experience in the battery industry -Strong understanding of battery pack design principles, thermal management techniques, and system integration considerations. -Proven experience in the design, development, and testing of lithium-ion battery packs and modules, preferably with a focus on prismatic LFP batteries. -Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks) and simulation tools for thermal analysis (e.g., ANSYS, COMSOL). -Familiarity with battery safety standards and regulations, including experience in safety analysis and risk assessment. -Knowledge of material design and how to achieve faster charging and rate capability

Responsibilities:

1. Designing and building prismatic cells
2. Electrode slurry formulations, mixing, and coating
3. Provide engineering analysis for the impact of different components in the prismatic cell on the overall performance of the cell
4. Operating equipment for laboratory testing including electrochemical analyzers
5. Prepare electrochemical reports, and effectively communicate results
6. Work with external prospects and customers to define, develop, and exceed specifications
7. Plan, organize, direct, and follow up on project-related testing activities
8. Ensure delivery of the project activities and interact with RnD
