Role Summary

The primary purpose of this Wind Installation Lead will be responsibility for the first line supervision and direction of the teams assigned to you and to ensure the safe, timely and effective execution of the work activities. This Wind Installation Lead role reports to the Head of Site Management

Essential responsibilities:

  • On behalf of the site manager is responsible for a safe installation within the time frame and budget of the contract
  • Maintaining a good relationship with the supplier
  • First point of contact for subcontractors, support with technical know how and contributes in regard to wind installation work - e.g. ensures documentations and manual are updated and available for all stakeholders
  • Ensure work is performed in agreement with contract and client standards
  • Cooperates with logistic coordinator to ensure tools, materials and components are available in time for subcontractors
  • Optimises installation activities to ensure progress and cost-efficient execution
  • Responsible for retrofits, snagging and findings gets done and finalised
  • Responsible for toolbox talks and daily planning according to weather forecast and work prioritisation
  • Plan installation task and align between stakeholders on site, Q&HSE, crane, civil, service, transport and installation team; plan and organise commissioning and test of turbine,
  • Retrieve and organise documentation and reports
  • Allocates resources and equipment according to project plans.
  • Create a professional and constructive communication and team culture within core team and with suppliers
  • Lead by example" regarding all HSE standards, procedures and QA requirements
  • Support the site manager and acts as deputy
  • Is responsible for the quality at mechanical handover, while being support by the QA organisation

Qualifications/ Requirements:

  1. Fluent in English
  2. Technical high school diploma or equivalent
  3. At least 5 years experience with installation and mechanical completion of wind turbine generators
  4. Intermediate computer skills
  5. Flexibility in working hours
  6. Positive attitude and approach to day to day duties
  7. Demonstrated initiative to increase efficiency in operations
  8. Driver's licence required
  9. A strong commitment to ensure safety and safe working environment.
