Senior Social Work | Childrens Assessment Team | Worcestershire County Council

• Qualified Social Worker / Social Work Professional required to join a statutory Assessment Team (aka Duty and Assessment / Referral and Assessment / Initial Assessment / Initial Response / First Response Team)

• Hybrid working
• Office base: Worcester
• You must have a social work qualification and full SWE registration as well as relevant experience to be considered

To be considered, it is essential that you have a recognised Social Work qualification (Social Work Degree or Diploma in Social Work) and full Social Work England registration as well as recent or significant relevant experience in a similar role.

We unusually have vacancies in two of our assessment teams.

We are seeking experienced social workers to join our patch-based assessment teams, taking cases from the initial contact team to complete both S17 and S47 assessments to closure, step down or transfer to the safeguarding teams.

You will be supported by and working with a fully permanent management group in teams where the culture of 'team' being a supportive learning environment is embedded with regular supervision, manageable caseloads and regular team meetings as well as a comprehensive training offer in partnership with the social work academy.

We know how important this is in achieving forward thinking and progressive social work practice where children and young people experience a great consistent and responsive service and our partners have trust and confidence in us.
